Tinley back-up computer tape lost, personal info for thousands is lost

The Social Security, bank account and driver's license numbers of anyone who has given his or her personal information to the Village of Tinley Park in the last 10 to 15 years may have been on a back-up computer tape the village lost in June.

Wil Turner drinks beer for a living. Your first thought is probably, "I could do that!," closely followed by, "Where did I go wrong in life?" There is a catch, sort of. Turner, a 40-year-old father of two from Evergreen Park, has to brew the beer first, at Goose Island Brew Pub on Chicago's North Side, where he works as the pub brewer.

But as the Cubs' massive home-road offensive disparity reaches four months -- creating more than a .340 difference in winning percentage home and away -- it is becoming a worrisome trend for a team with World Series aspirations.
